Authenticity & condition
How ChronoVintage describes, photographs, and stands behind unique vintage inventory.
Last updated: May 2026. This summary is for transparency; it is not legal advice.
Every watch we sell is a one-of-one vintage or antique timepiece. Our listings are built for informed collectors: macro photos, movement and case notes, and status labels you can trust.
Photography and descriptions
We publish multiple angles—dial, case, caseback, crown, and bracelet or strap—as well as movement shots when accessible. Descriptions call out patina, refinishing, replacement parts, and operational notes (running, serviced, or for repair).
Serials, references, and documentation
When available we list reference numbers, serial ranges, and paperwork. Absence of papers does not automatically mean a piece is inauthentic; we state what is included and what is unknown.
Servicing and wear
Vintage watches may show age-consistent wear. We do not claim factory-new condition unless explicitly stated. Service history is disclosed when known; otherwise we recommend budgeting for a watchmaker after purchase.
If something is not as described
If we materially misrepresented a lot, contact us within three days of delivery with photos. Our Returns policy explains repair, credit, or return options. We would rather resolve concerns directly than leave collectors guessing.
